Improvisation No. 4 By F. Poulenc
Poulenc, a French modern composer, wrote pieces that had generous lyricism and lighthearted wit. This piece reminds me of children playing tag with the winner bragging about himself. There is a lyrical section at the end which gives a floating sensation. Perhaps the children decided to take a nap to fuel up for their next round.
Prelude and Fugue in A-flat Major By Bach
This is from the Well-Tempered Clavier which includes Preludes and Fugues from all the major and minor keys. Definitely, one of his most influential works.
Elegie in E-flat Minor By Rachmaninoff
While Rachmaninoff is known for pieces that go at the speed of lightning, his slower and deeper works are considered treasures too.
